Funded Projects

Grimsby Institute Group is currently involved in several funded E-Learning Projects.

E-learning Academy Project (AOC and Coralesce ltd)

Whilst the use of E-learning is growing in industry and education globally there is a big skills gap in the UK for the design and development of high quality online products despite large demand from education and industry. The aim of this project is to address this skills shortage area by creating a new qualification framework and a shared curriculum across a consortium of partner organisations to train a new workforce of technical staff who can ‘e-learnify’ content and thereby creating a new occupational role of ‘e-learning designer’.

Project Aims

  • Design a new qualification framework at Level 3 and 4 for E-learning Designers.
  • Co-create Blended Learning content that can be shared across the 8 Colleges.
  • Develop a number of E-learning academies within the sector.
